Made some corrections for the the previous posts. Quite a couple of misspelled words. My apologies. Was in a rush when I typed that entry.
monday the 24th (Christmas Eve)
A half day's work for us. Had our very own departmental get-together Christmas brunch that day. Not slackened a bit since I reached office that morning. Was thoroughly engaged with a quick whip of two dishes for the brunch to be held before noon, under the command of the Mastermind, an Auntie who suggested to do the cooking. I ended up being the Chap doing the work and she just supervises. Alrite. She win. Thanks to my colleagues who came to 'Kaypo' in the pantry, were also told to help out. Wouldn't be able to do all those peelings, cutting, mincing & mixing all by myself. We have had done up Potato Salad and Macaroni Pasta in no time. All of us who did the cook had zero intentions or urge to have those things in our mouths. Serious! I had the washings of the dishes all to myself. But I'm Ok with it. Don't wanna trouble the others. Din even had the time to on my PC. Everybody else were busy and the brunch was stretched. As my boss always describes the time as "rubber time". Stretched and delayed. Some of us were like frustrated cos' it was supposed to be half day. We wanna get the hell out of office on the dot man. My boss ordered a stuffed Turkey, Pork Knuckle and Honey Baked Ham from Gourmet. Not Bad at all. But I had little cos I'm having gastric remember... After the joyous feast. Everybody scrammed. I was considered the last cos of the washings again. Haa.
Left office with Toh and Ah Peng after I was done with the dishes. Headed down to Orchard with Ah Peng for an intended window shopping. We were there just to look around not to pay. Whenever there was only me and him, we'll always talk about fashion, talk about girls, our dream girlfriend and relationship issues. Haa. We started from browsing for Jeans at Borders, to entering BurBerry in Taka, to MUJI in Paragon and to Fred Perry in Cineleisure. We both eyed on what we wanted. His longsleeve shirt and a cardigan for me which were both priced at a fixed 3 Digit that doesn't count the decimals. Starts off with 1 for Ah Peng's shirt and 2 for my cardigan. LOL. We gave a thought if we should go with our heart. However Ah Peng got me out of that Boutique. We simply couldn't resist the seduction by the clothings before our eyes. He says if I pay for mine, he'll pay for his for sure. And thats my Christmas Eve.

Was at home the entire day. More or less a rest day for me.
saturday the 29th
Watched "I am Legend" starring Will Smith. The show was SO-SO for me except for some thrilling and mind captivating scenes that deserve my attention. Probably theres too many other similar sort of movie that shows zombies or more like Bio-Zombies. All tells a story that begins from an existence of a virus that spreads and infects the entire human race, the entire town and the entire city. The Zombies that Will Smith faced were very much created by animation and computer graphic. So it wasn't a plus point for me. And probably the number of plots you saw wasn't as appealing. OR was it because of the main characters? Its always Will Smith and his dog, Samantha. But thats their point to get the show going. Alrite. Not gonna say much. I'll give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.
monday the 31st (New Year's Eve)
Another half day's work.Got a little busy in the first half of the morning. Second half was reserved for PotLuck session within our own division. As we understand from the word PotLuck, each of us are suppose to bring a food item to be shared. We had a huge variety of good food. Agar-Agar, Mee Siam, Sushi Platters and more Sushi(s), Mixed Fruit Cocktails, Fried Stuffs and Finger Food, etc... Its actually an annual gathering for all of us as a division to appreciate each and everyone towards the end of another year and welcoming a new coming year. We had gift exchange last year but not this year. Brings me back the memories. Was so fun.
Went home in the afternoon for a short nap. Head out to party for the night in the evening as its New Year's Eve. Yea!! Met Eugene, Ah Long, Vanessa and Jeremy for Dinner at a Hong Kong cafe located at the alley where you will commonly find lots'a Steamboat restaurants opened by foreigners in Bugis. I had a big serving of Fried Rice all to myself. Yummy! Esplanade our next destination. Was already 10pm+ when we reached there. Damn Crowded. The amount of human flow with give you a shock. Lots'a audience were early to book a good place for a good view of the Firework performance when the clock strikes 12mn. We went from one end to the other end to scout for a good place for the five of us. We ended sitting at a small piece of land of our own. We were just at the bottom of the Library if you know where it is. The other families have got UNO to play with. We just simply occupy ourself with sending New Year SMS(es) which obviously can't beat the busy signals. I just can't send my SMS(es) through. So don't blame me for not receiving any of me. Then we came up with stupid, lame games. That made Eug, Jeremy and Vanessa frowned in confusion and fighting to keep their wits thinking of the answers for the IQ games we are playing. 10 Seconds before 12mn. Everyone shouted the count. The spirit was high. At 12mn sharp the Fireworks came lighting the night with beautiful sparkles and powerful explosions. The music that was composed to go with the Fireworks performance was brilliant. I love it. It was flawless as it works hand in hand with the Fireworks. First time being in an actual moment of counting down. Great ambience, Great experience. Love the feeling of welcoming the New Year with SOoo.. many people. We all shared the same joyfulness and happiness the New Year had brought us. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!! We walked our way to Clarke Quay for a drink and to thon our night through. We came across eski bar. It was somewhere. Just somewhere where I can't recognise cos we kept on walking from Fullerton Hotel, Raffles Place and to Boat Quay and then to where we obviously are which was Clarke Quay. It was a small size eski bar. Nice. But we didn't stayed long. We had our choice at Kandi Bar @ Clarke Quay. Nice place for the young. Very much. The interior and the songs they play are very much like clubbing. Eug, Jeremy and I wanted to join the others at the mini arena or the dance floor they had. But too Paiseh la.. too little people. Spent our night through with not much of excitement. We all were tired and sleepy.
We left the bar and found ourselves at ChinaTown. We went to McDonalds cos Jeremy complains and kept complaining that he was feeling hungry. We sat by the road side with the cold freezing wind blowing on us. I actually shivers but I can't hold it any much longer, so I slept by the roadside. So did Vanessa and Eug. This was the way we had our night out. Battling the tiredness in us, battling the cold and helplessness out in the quiet night at ChinaTown cos' theres nothing we can do at that hour, waiting for the very first operating train.
wednesday the 2nd
watched Aliens Vs Predator 2. Was quite a nice show for me eventhough I had not watched its first. 3.5 Stars out of 5.
